The Life of Becca M.

Hi all. I tried to escape from Eva. I don't know why, Eva and Phil take care of me. They're loving and kind. But for some reason I want to run. And run I did on Monday. Eva had put a stupid lease on me but she didn't use the good one because she didn't think I'd be getting out of the car. But when she opened her door at the post office I bolted! Man it was so exhilarating to be free. Weeeee....it was so fun. I ran across a busy street without a care in the world. I continued down the road running as fast as my over weight body would let me. Eva got back into her car and started to follow me. There were a lot of cars speeding down the street but Eva just pulled over onto the grass as best she could about 20 feet ahead of me. I could see her in her side mirror. She was watching me, trying to park (there was no shoulder), looking at traffic all at the same time. Then some nice lady who was coming from the other direction, rolled down her window and asked Eva if she was trying to catch me. Eva said yes and the lady said she'd help. She parked her car on the other side of the street. Traffic slowed down a little. Eva lost track of me but then she saw me...standing in the middle of the road. I was amazed at how I can stop traffic. Then I saw Eva coming towards me so I started to run again on the other side of the street. Then the nice lady knelt down and was asking me to come to her. I sure as hell didn't want to go to Eva and I had no idea where I was running to so I went to the lady. I thought maybe she'd me my new mommy. Yeah, those dreams of being with a family that likes to do stuff were quickly squashed when the lady picked me up and took me back to Eva's car. Oh, man Eva was so mad at me. She didn't speak to me for a long time.
But now she's over it. I tried to tell her I was sorry but I don't think she understood. But she is giving me treats when I come in so I guess we're cool. It was quite the adventure.
